Peripheral Vision - deconstructing sensory filters
Bewegungsworkshop mit Marie Alexis (compagnie O.)

Wie beeinflusst uns das, was um uns herum geschieht? Welche Sinneswahrnehmung und Reize bevorzugen wir unbewusst, welche filtern wir heraus? Und welchen Einfluss hat dieses Filtern (oder dessen Fehlen) auf unsere Art, uns mit der Welt zu verbinden?

In diesem Workshop erkunden wir spielerisch eine Praxis, die das zielgerichtete Schauen in den Hintergrund rückt. Indem andere, weniger direkte Kanäle der Sinneswahrnehmung gestärkt werden, erkunden wir unterschiedliche Formen der Beziehung zu unserer Umgebung und zu anderen Körpern im Raum.

Dieser Workshop ist die erste Etappe in unserem 4-jährigen Projekt „MULTIVERSE - atypische Perspektiven“, das sich dem Themenfeld der Neurodiversität widmet. In verschiedenen Formaten (Performances, Walks, Installationen, Vermittlungs- und Kontextformate) laden wir dazu ein, neurodivergente Wahrnehmungsweisen zu erleben und so Brücken zwischen unterschiedlichen Welterfahrungen zu bauen.

Der Workshop richtet sich an professionelle Tänzer:innen ebenso wie an alle Tanzinteressierten, unabhängig von Tanzerfahrung oder Neurotyp.

Movement workshop with Marie Alexis (compagnie O.)

How are we influenced by what happens around us? Which sensory stimuli do we unconsciously prioritize, which do we filter out? And what influence does this filtering (or lack thereof) have on our way of connecting with the world?

In this workshop, we will playfully explore a practice that shifts conscious visual input to the background. By enhancing less direct channels of sensory perception, we will explore alternative ways of interacting with our surroundings and other bodies in space.

This workshop marks the beginning of our 4-year project, "MULTIVERSE - Atypical Perspectives," dedicated to exploring neurodiversity. Across various formats, including performances, installations, and contextual formats, we extend an invitation to experience neurodivergent perspectives, fostering connections between diverse experiences of the world.

The workshop is aimed at professional dancers as well as anyone interested in dance, regardless of dance experience or neurotype.

Come Away geht in die Produktionsphase! Wir konnten den Kulturmarkt Zürich als Koproduktionspartner gewinnen sowie einen Produktionsbeitrag von Stadt Zürich Kultur erhalten. Ferner unterstützt das Tanzhaus Zürich den Kreationsprozess mit dem Zur-Verfügung-Stellen von Proberäumen. Wir freuen uns sehr über diese wertvollen Partnerschaften und bedanken uns herzlich für das Vertrauen und die Unterstützung.

Come Away enters the production phase! We were able to win the Kulturmarkt Zurich as a coproduction partner and received a production grant from Stadt Zürich Kultur. Further, Tanzhaus Zürich will support the creative process with rehearsal space. We are very excited about these valuable partnerships and grateful for the trust and support.

Die Arbeit an Come Away geht nach der sehr fruchtbaren Residenz weiter. Und damit es nicht zu lange dauert, um mit EUCH in persönlichem Kontakt zu treten, laden wir herzlich ein zu einem Launching Event. Im lockeren Rahmen gibt es die Möglichkeit, die noch zarten Früchte der Arbeit an Come Away zu sehen und danach selbstverständlich mit uns anzustossen und das Team kennenzulernen.

Das Team von Come Away wurde eingeladen, im Rahmen einer zweiwöchigen Residenz in LoStudio in Bellinzona in den künstlerischen Prozess einzutauchen. Wir freuen uns sehr über diese Möglichkeit und darauf, das Projekt voranzubringen.

Im Rahmen der Residenz findet als Open Process ein Workshop statt sowie zum Abschluss ein Showing des Work in Progress.
